2009 Summer Series of Birding

The 6th annual Summer Series of Birding will take place this summer, starting on June 27 and ending in August, with a series of summer field trips.  As in previous years, the destination for each trip will be determined about mid-week each week. Details of each trip will be posted weekly on the Songsparrow Yahoo group page. We will, once again, attempt to incorporate a few new destinations into the trip schedule, plus re-visit some locations which proved very productive over the past summers. The trips will be scheduled for Saturday mornings unless otherwise indicated.

Rare bird alerts will be monitoring throughout the summer and when possible, we will attempt to schedule visits at, or close to, the location of the rare sightings.

If there are any specific locations you would like to visit, please feel free to send along your suggestions. If you wish to receive weekly trip notices, or if you have questions regarding specific trips, please contact Sheldon Harvey by e-mail at ve2shw@yahoo.com or by telephone at 450-462-1459.

Please join us for another exciting Summer Series of Birding in 2009.

Further details of planned field trips can be found under the Activities tab on the menu at the top of this page.

The next meeting of the society will be held on

The Annual General Meeting
